Can someone clarify as to Epilepsy a problem or disease?
Is Epilepsy a disease or a problem? According to me it is not a disease as all the parts are doing their job even during the attack and so it is a problem. The docs know the reason why it happens. But there is wrong notion among the people that it is a disease. Can someone clarify whether it is a disease or a problem? By the by I am not a doctor but I am an epileptic. I know what it is and what happens to me during the attack of course from my wife.

My doctor and I haven’t found the right combination of medications that work yet, so I’m having trouble sleeping and of course with the inevitable mood swings/manic times/ depression. I would love to hear of any coping strategies anyone has found to be effective while I wait for a (hopefully) successful medicine combination. Thanks so much for your help!

The two conditions are supposed to be separate, but if you look at a basic oversight of them (i.e. Wikipedia or similar) they seem extremely similar. I was just wondering if anybody with any knowledge about these matters would be able to point out what the differences are between these two conditions.
Thanks in advance for any answers.
Whoops, I obviously slightly mis-spelt ‘borderline’ in the title there.
